Hello,
Have a look at this new web system based on iRealty. This iRealty version has been heavily modified but you will still recognize the main site's template

(Thank you iRealty team).
This iRealty installation was modified to support one main configuration as well as 7 sub system configurations, all using the same database. The reason for that is so that the 7 sub systems could be integrated with look and feel into existing web sites (city guides). Furthermore, iRealty was modified due to the fact that it is not a classifieds system, but a system for a Real Estate Broker firm.
The IDX systems have been cleverly integrated (iframed) and is not using the iRealty database - even though it feels that way.
I do like the iRealty system however it heavily lacks when it comes to SEO features (since iRealty does not support dynamic Meta Tags, and very limited dynamic page titling) This is a definite flaw and I am working on integrating a complete SEO suite currently.
Another flaw would be that listing images are stored in the database. It puts extra load on the database server as the system grows. Trying to rewrite the gallery subsystem to plain and simple store images in the directory structure. Also the fact that an image can't be replaced, but has to be deleted and re-added to a gallery is a bit of a pain. Trying to find a work around for that as well. Furthermore the image ordering system seems to hick up here and there. I had it happen that all images in a specific gallery had all order number 1. So that is on my list to fix as well. Just downloaded a fix that was posted on this message board. Hope this will take care of the ordering system.
If you would like to have a look at the main Real Estate system page please go to:
http://www.citysiterealty.comThe main Real Estate site uses the stock iRealty template (a bit customized though). The main system however will not be the main point of entry. Actually one of the seven sub systems will be the point of entry, which are integrated in corresponding city guides. If you would like to see the subsystems at work simply click on one of the 7 sidebar links of the main page:
Burlingame.com Realty
Carlsbad.com Realty
CapoBeach Realty
etc, etc.
From there you can experience the degree of integration of the Real Estate sub systems into the actual city guide portals. All in all it feels pretty seamless.
Oh yes, if you would like to enter the iRealty system via the city guides, here are the URLs:
