Hello,

If I have a wish then I would like to wish for a rewrite of the gallery module. In my opinion image data has nothing lost inside MySQL. All uploaded images and generated thumbnails need to be stored within the directory structure of the site in a dedicated location instead of pulling from the database.

It would be great if you could provide a patch that replaced all necessary files to achieve that goal that would be great.
