Hi,

iAuto/iRealty database is encoded in UTF-8. However, some of the templates in our earlier releases have the meta charset set to ISO encoding instead, and even though database entries and fields contained accented characters, they weren't displayed properly. Of course, most people who have already done that elsewhere have already figured out a fix.

For those who haven't had previous experience with fixing the encoding, you should change the default charset value from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8 in the header <meta> tags of both main.tpl and index.tpl of the theme you're using as a default. This should resolve the issues with Cyrillic, French, Scandinavian, and other languages not displayed properly in the ISO encoding. In the newer versions of iAuto, we've already fixed this problem.

Sincerely,

iAuto/iRealty Sales
