Hi again,

i know i've already bombarded you with millions of questions since i bought iauto software, but unfortunately (for you) i have another one. Cheesy

Well, i thought iauto would allow us, at least, to create a membership plan where a customer can add under the same account as many listings as he/she wants. Unfortunately, we can't make it happen since the only editable options are the number of pictures, money and featured pics. Is there any way we can create such a plan? I'm saying that because we want our dealers to be able to buy our executive membership with absolutely no limits on the number of listings (not on the photos or videos or anything else)?

Another quick question: is there any way for a user to upload *.gif pictures as well?

Thank you for your great support,

Minas

Hi Minas,

That's fine, it's not a problem, we've created this forum specifically to answer your questions and help you out getting the best out of iAuto.  Wink

The dealer membership plan can be created on the basis of the existing membership plan functionality. I believe that from v.3.0 onwards we've removed the limitation for the number of standard and featured listings and one may create as many listings as needed either free of you set up zero cost of regular or featured listings, or for a fee payable for each listing separately in case you set up a charge for each listing.

Therefore, what you'll need is create a new membership plan for $0 for standard and featured, 999 pictures for each, and as far as videos, to add another video to a listing, you'll only have to add a second or third video fields to your input and display forms.

As for your interest in uploading .gif images, we can program it for you, but at this time I cannot tell you specifically when it will be ready though. Please send a message to our Support and they'll put it in a queue.

Regards,

I am not so sure if I completely understood the instructions.  After further exploring the options for editing users, I found that after activation, a user account can create as many listings as it wants.  However, I have to manually activate these listings.  Is there anyway that all of this can occur automatically without me having to activate their user account and then activate their proposed listings because this issue would cause inefficiencies for me.

Thank you,

Minas

Dear Minas,

You've done everything correctly! And there is no need to use 999 pictures for a new membership plan, because you limit the number of pictures per listing (one listing). I have doubts, that someone will upload more than 5 pictures for one ad (listing), specially 999.  Shocked Grin

Now about listing activation.

Listing is activated automatically in case:
1. It is free.
2. A user paid for a listing through PayPal, for example, in accordance with a membership plan.

You should activate listing manually only in case a user paid cash or made a payment via wire transfer.
