Hi everybody,

As many of you have already noticed, we're back from our holidays (didn't really have time to enjoy them though), and we are bringing a new exciting feature of the iAuto (we'll also propagate it for iRealty if anyone needs it, but a bit later). The admin is now able to import multiple listings with images via the Data Import function.

Do you have any instructions on how to use this new tool?
Thanks

We have developed the option for importing multiple listings with images.

Pictures that will be uploaded for listings should be stored on the server.

a)  To prepare pictures for import with listings:

1.  Create a new folder or use the existing folder (img) somewhere on your server
2.  Specify the directory name in the IMPORTED_IMAGE_DIR parameter of the System Settings Tab of the admin panel
3.  Upload pictures for all listings you are importing, ensuring that filenames are unique for each picture.

b)  Then you can proceed with importing listings:

1.  Prepare the excel/csv file that contains all data for listings. All filenames of pictures related to each specific listing should be placed in one cell separated by a character specified in the FILENAME_DELIMITER parameter of the System Settings Tab of the admin panel.
2.  Specify the filename of the import file in the Listing Data Management -> Data Import wizard and press Import button
3.  The system will display a table containing imported data
4.  Match the contents of each columns with the relevant database fields from the dropdown boxes on top of each column. You may also ignore columns that have no matches for the existing database fields.
5.  Ensure that you choose the Pictures field name to name the column that contains filenames for pictures.
6.  Press the Import button.

This should be it. If everything is done correctly, each listing imported will have all pictures specified.

Hey thanks for the fast reply! That's what I like about your team.
So I tried the photo function several times and I keep getting this error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: gallery_upload_image() in /home/searchau/public_html/system/modules/classifieds/classes/import/ImportedListingField.php on line 77

Is there something that I am doing wrong?

Thanks,
AG
