First Off, great software. Very well done. The templating system can be a little frustrating, though. Here's my dilemma: I am trying to convert the layout to a standards compliant (i.e. no tables) layout of my own and I am having trouble changing the layout of the request forms. It seems you have placed the labels for each field in a table cell in one column and the corresponding fields in another table column next to the first. Instead of having all these extra tables, rows, cells, and spans, I would like the forms to look more like this:

<div id ="qsearch">
<label>Field1
<input name="testField" type="text" id="testField"  />
</label>
<label>Field2
<input name="testField" type="text" id="testField"  />
</label>
</div>

This way the layout can be completely controlled externally via CSS, and the templates do not have to adjusted all over the place. I've already made a lot of adjustments and I realize this cannot be acheived without altering the functions/classes but I would really appreciate if I could get some assistance in this area, primarily with the functions in “/system/modules/classifieds/classes/known.php” and “/system/modules/classifieds/classes/formlib.php”.

Hi,

A very nice topic. I have already requested our developers to take a look at it. They promised to review it within the next couple of days to give you ideas on what can be done. I wonder whether any other member of the forum has ideas about helping you out. Maybe we can even fire up a nice discussion here.

Thanks for looking into it, I really apprecitate it. This is the only thing that's holding up the design and I know I'm probably being a pain, but I just despise using tables for anything but tabular content. I can have my developers make the adjustments if I have to but obviously I'd like to save the cash if your developers are already working on it anyway.

Hello,

even though much of the HTML is generated in files you mention (we are trying to get rid of this), the other part of HTML comes from templates:

Please look into the following files:

form_request.tpl
form_request_box.tpl
form_request_group.tpl
form_request_item.tpl
