In order to change the name of admin directory of the product you should perform 3 steps:

1. Rename the admin folder itself.
2. Open the \system\user-config\LocalSettings.php file of the product and change the following parameter:

ADMIN_SITE_URL

3. Open the \system\admin-config\LocalSettings.php and change:

SITE_URL

Done.

What problems do you have, could you please specify? Are you about to change the admin panel access details (user-name and password)? If yes, then you should refer to the following article in knowledge-base: http://customers.worksforweb.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=53
