Listings Keep Deactivating

[Patches]

I have set the site up as a Dealer - Every week all of the listings Deactivate and I have to go into Admin and Activate them. I must have set something up wrong when I setup the Dealer - I setup the site for a customer of mine - can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi,

You need to change the parameter "Listing Lifetime (Days)" in the settings of a Listing Package, please refer to http://www.iautosoftware.com/demo/doc/UserManual/membership_plans.htm :
Listing Lifetime (Days) — listing lifetime before expiration in days;

Thanks for the reply - I originally did not set the Package parms so they were expiring everyday - changed it to 730 days and zeroed all dollar amounts and requirements - then applied to all listings.  The listings went from expiring everyday to evey week. I did not "Apply to all contracts" - So I will do this and monitor -

Listing Lifetime(days)  730
Is Featured  "Blank"
Price for Upgrade to Featured  0
Number of Pictures Allowed  9
Is Video Allowed  "Check"
Highlighted Feature  "Blank"
Price for Highlighted Feature  0
Video from Youtube Feature  "Check"
Price for Video from Youtube Feature  0
Slide Show Feature  "Check"
Price for Slide Show Feature  0

I Applied To All Contracts Tuesday 4/20/2010 - This morning, Thursday 4/22/2010, all are deactive. I went back tracking each day that the deactivations occured and noticed that each time was the day after maintenanced was done to either add or delete cars to/from the inventory.  ??

OK - Yesterday (04-28-2010) maintenance was done to delete sold autos - This morning (04-29-2010) all the listings were deactivated again - Can anyone help - I have read the suggested doc referred above and nothing referrence this.

There are two times that affect this.
A. in the membership plan.
B. In the listing packages.

Set them both.
Then you must update the contract and listings

then do  new member, and new ad.
see if your old ads get deactivated
See if your new  ad get deactivated.

I am not sure if this all applies to your version of the software.

Thanks  for the reply - I am on version 4.0 - I went over all of my parms to verify settings and then Applied To All Listings and Applied To All Contracts. I will setup a test member later after closing to test. Cross my fingers.
