Hi,
I really want to have the whole credits system removed from my iAuto site, I would like it to be like the previous version before the credits system.
I am finding that my clients are having a hard time understanding the whole process. e.g: They are purchasing credits and not applying them to their listing because they think the payment was for the listing. So they have the credits but are unsure about applying them to the listings, so I normally remove their credits and approve their listing from the admin panel. I don't want to do this, I would like full and easy automation.

I have received many emails complaining about 'how to make payment'/'how to activate listings', etc.

So I would like to know if this system can be removed (installing old iauto is NOT an option).

iAuto support tell me it is not possible, but it obviously has to be somehow.

If anyone can comfortably do it or explain instructions to do so, there may even be a cash reward for it.

Thanks!

Hello,

We plan to develop the feature to give the option for site administrator to use either credit system or direct payments.
I cannot say when it will be completed, but I think it will be done in next 1 or 2 versions.

Actually, many sites work with credit systems. For example, istockphoto.com and lots of others.

You can simulate the absence of credit system. You need to make the price for one credit equal to one $ (or the currency you use); and you can give another name for credit_name: $ instead of credit(s). It is in your Admin Panel -> Custom Settings -> credit_name.

Hi,
That option sounds like a great feature.
I have the credit system currently set up so that they are called '$' but it still doesn't help the fact that its almost like they have to pay twice.

I understand why the credit system was implemented, but it doesn't fit in so well with my site.

Dealers pay a yearly subscription fee to have as many ads as they like, so the credit system is useless in that area.
Private Sellers pay per listing but 99% of the time a private seller only has 1 car to sell at a time so again, I feel the credits system is useless for my site.

Anyway, thank you very much for your reply.
I look forward to some later versions.
